Stallone, Giamatti, Dawson, And More Added To Animated Ratchet And Clank Movie

by Mike Futter on May 13, 2015 at 04:54 AM

As you may recall, Sony is giving some of its most popular characters new life on the big screen. Among them are the mechanically inclined Lombax Ratchet and his aluminum ally Clank. Today, we’ve learned who will be voicing the familiar characters and new additions.

The cast of the games will return to reprise their roles, with James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, Armin Shimerman as Dr. Nefarious, and Jim Ward as Captain Quark. They are joined by a number of well-known actors.

The Hollywood Reporter has published a story indicating that Paul Giamatti (American Splendor), Sylvester Stallone (The Expendables), John Goodman (Monsters, Inc.), and Rosario Dawson (Daredevil, Sin City) are all signed on. The film is due this year, and a trailer was shown at E3 2014 (which you can watch here).

Also announced last year is a remake of the original Insomniac Games title. That is also planned for release this year.

The movie is being written by Insomniac alumnus TJ Fixman and directed by Jericca Cleland and Kevin Munroe (TMNT).
