Madden NFL 15 Drafts A New Set Of Rookies

by Matthew Kato on Apr 30, 2015 at 02:23 PM

This year's NFL Draft is infusing teams with new talent, and you can make use of all 32 players from the first round in Madden NFL 15's Ultimate Team mode and the game's mobile version.

To unlock Elite versions of the newly drafted players in Ultimate Team, you have to first complete a set consisting of multiple collectibles and a player item from packs.

The collectibles – NFL draft badges and new team draft collectibles – have already been released in the mode, and these must be paired with the base edition player items of the new draftee to form a set. The set then unlocks an elite version of the new player. Multiple NFL draft badges are needed for the set (the higher the draftee the more badges required), and naturally, the new team draft collectible must match the team the player was drafted by.

These cards can't be carried over into Madden 16, although those players will certainly get rookie cards in the mode when the game comes out.

The mobile version of Madden is running its own Draft-related opportunities. Completing a Draft set requires collectibles, which are obtained by completing Draft Live events, and once you complete a set you'll get a random rookie card. This can then be repeated as many times as you want.

Our Take
It would be nice if your Ultimate Team just transferred over from year to year, but barring that, at least you'll get to rock these rookies' elite cards all summer long until some of them inevitably fall hard down to earth with a 72 overall rating.
