[Update] Bandai Namco, Sega, And Capcom Mash-Up Project X Zone Getting A Sequel

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 12, 2015 at 12:44 PM

Update: Project X Zone will be making its way to North America. You can check out the English version of the trailer directly below.

For North America, the game is apparently losing the Brave New World subtitle and will also be releasing in fall of this year, just like the Japanese version.

Original story:

Bandai Namco, Sega, and Capcom's collaboration Project X Zone is getting a new entry on 3DS.

The game, subtitled Brave New World, is set for release in Japan fall of this year with no details on whether or not the game will be making its way to North America. So far, franchises confirmed for inclusion in the sequel include Resident Evil, Yakuza, the Tales series, Sakura Wars, Devil May Cry, Tekken, Mega Man X, Virtua Fighter, .hack, Strider, Shinobi, Soul Calibur and many more.

You can check out the trailer below, which unfortunately doesn't have any gameplay and is entirely in Japanese, save for a few words.

Our Take
It's been awhile now, but I had a decent time with the previous game. The sheer number of impressive guest stars was the game's main selling point, and that seems to be the case here, too. I certainly couldn't complain about seeing the sequel make its way to North America.
