Mario Maker Release Date Lands In September
In the latest Nintendo Direct, the company revealed plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its iconic plumber. Part of the plan is Mario Maker, the upcoming Wii U game that allows you to create and share your own levels in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. The company today revealed that the highly anticipated game will be hitting Wii U this September.
Mario Maker allows players to utilize the Wii U GamePad to craft their own levels using assets and characters from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U. Players can swap the assets from the different games on the fly and test them while designing.
The title was originally set to launch in the first half of 2015, but reports in January suggested that the project was going to see a slight delay.
