New Patch Brings Balance To Evolve

by Matthew Kato on Mar 25, 2015 at 04:40 AM

Evolve developer Turtle Rock is fine-tuning the balance of the game via patch 1.3, which will be out later today for the PC version. It will arrive on home consoles next week.

While the patch makes "minor maintenance and improvements" on all the monsters, it also gets very specific about some aspects for both monsters and hunters.

For example, the Wraith's Warp speed has been reduced by 25 percent to make her "less bursty," while the damage for her Warp Blast has been increased by 10 percent. Meanwhile, the damage dealt by Hyde's minigun has increased by 20 percent, and its accuracy by 25 percent.

These are just a few of the many changes, which can be seen in full by clicking on the link below.

Our Take
Balancing is ultra important for a multiplayer title like Evolve, so it's great to see Turtle Rock try to address areas of the game. It's interesting that many of the tweaks are double-digit percent increases – which seemingly quantify more than just minor tweaks.
