Weekend Warrior 3/20/2015

by Elise Favis on Mar 20, 2015 at 02:00 PM

With an anime night planned for Saturday evening and Ori and the Blind Forest continuing to awe us, both the interns and editors have a great weekend to look forward to. What will you be playing? Let us know in the comments.

Justin Mikos (@JustinMikos): I'm planning an anime night at Tim Turi's house and some of the editors and the interns are coming! I'm bringing four of my best shows (Baccano!, Angel Beats, Accel World, and Madoka Magica) and we'll probably order pizza and play some games like Smash Bros. too. It's going to be awesome! I finished the Final Fantasy XV demo twice now, so I'm going to move back to Type-0, maybe with Japanese voices since the voice cast is stellar and the English voices aren't great, and also continue playing Kingdom Hearts II HD Final Mix. Have a good weekend everyone!

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea): I'm playing so many different games right now. My main games are Ori and the Blind Forest and NBA 2K15, but I'm also pouring significant amounts of time into The Order: 1886 and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. In between that, I'm also playing Mario Party 10 and Halo: Spartan Assault.

Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard): I'm catching up on TV this weekend. I've already fallen behind on Last Man on Earth. I've also been rewatching Dragon Ball Z a little after watching Battle of Gods and enjoying it with Hanson earlier this week. As far as games go, I'll continue to nurse my Picross addiction on 3DS and keep going on Ori and the Blind Forest, which I've been enjoying.

Ben Hanson (@Yozetty): This weekend I'll continue diving into the world of Cities: Skylines. I've had some rough times with my city of New Hawick, but I'm hoping to get into some micro-managing of traffic to clear things up. It's fun, try it. Other than city management, I'm going to be playing some Smash Bros. and might check out this Ori game again. I like Ori fine, but I think I'm a little bit stuck and my enthusiasm is starting to wane. Have a good weekend!

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner): I finally have a break in my busy gaming schedule and hope to devote as much time as I can into Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Resident Evil Revelations 2, and Dying Light. I also hope to watch the final four episodes of Justified season four.

Ben Reeves (@BenjaminReeves): I'm headed to Chicago this weekend, so I'll be eating pizza, hot dogs, and anything else that look good for the mouth. Thankfully, I'll be bringing my 3DS, so I can play some Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and Fire Emblem Awakening whenever we're not eating.

Jon Gregory (@JMan240): I finally finished up Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix, so I'll be moving on to Birth By Sleep for the first time. Outside of that I've got some out of the house stuff planned, so I'll probably bump back to games that don't have any real timer on how much you have to do before walking away. Cities: Skylines is at the top of that particular list, as I haven't devoted as much time to Midgar as I initially planned to.

Elise Favis (@elisefavis): I haven't played much Danganronpa this week, so I'll probably catch up on that during the weekend. I probably only have an hour or two left on Valiant Hearts: A Great War, so I'll definitely be concluding it soon. I might dive into Counter Spy which I downloaded recently but haven't played yet, or try another entirely new game, preferably an indie. Meanwhile, I will continue listening to the Ori and the Blind Forest soundtrack, which is the only possible connection I can have to it right now, since I don't own an Xbox One or PC.
