Rockstar Rolls Out Stability-Enhancing Update For Grand Theft Auto Online

by Mike Futter on Mar 13, 2015 at 09:41 AM

Since Grand Theft Auto Online’s long-awaited heists launched earlier this week, server stability has been rocky. As people flooded to misbehave with friends, congestion and outages permeated the experience.

As part of its work to combat the problems, Rockstar is rolling out a patch. The update, which improves GTA Online stability and includes some additional online and story mode fixes, is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Xbox One and Xbox 360 updates are coming soon.

Our Take
Given the problems Grand Theft Auto Online had at launch (and the huge number of people that own the game), it’s no surprise the servers were hit hard. It seems that Rockstar is getting things up and running more quickly than last time, though. It won’t belong until you’re committing felonies with your friends.
