Report: Disney’s DuckTales Returns In 2017 With New Series

by Mike Futter on Feb 25, 2015 at 04:08 AM

Life is like a hurricane, and we'll be returning to Duckburg. Reports have surfaced that Disney is planning a new DuckTales series to air on one of its networks.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Scrooge McDuck, his nephews Huey Dewey, and Louie, and a number of other familiar characters are returning. The report says that the series will air on Disney XD.

The original program, which spawned two Capcom-published titles for NES and Game Boy, ran for four seasons between 1987 and 1990. In 2013, Capcom published DuckTales: Remastered, a revamped version of the original.

You can read our review of DuckTales Remastered for more information. As for where else we might see Scrooge and company, Disney Infinity seems like a good bet, as the cartoon has been referenced in it already.
