by Brian Shea on Feb 23, 2015 at 01:32 PM

Monolith Productions has released an infographic detailing the violence that has taken place in Mordor since Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor launched in September. The image provides us with some startling numbers, showing just how popular the game has been with players.

Among several impressive numbers, Monolith claims that players have taken out 5.65 billion Uruks over the course of 74.6 million hours of gameplay. In addition, 1.3 billion Uruks have been killed by other Uruks. Monolith also drew attention the numbers put up by its Nemesis system, with over 95.6 million Nemeses created and 6.6 million vendettas resolved.

You can check out the full infographic below and then get to work calculating how much responsibility you hold for these numbers.

Our Take
We knew Shadow of Mordor was a popular game, but many of the numbers provided by Monolith are impressive. With Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor proving to be so popular with players and critics, we have our fingers crossed that it gets the sequel or successor it deserves.
