Perfect World Details Contents Of Neverwinter On Xbox One

by Mike Futter on Feb 23, 2015 at 11:48 AM

If you missed the Neverwinter beta on Xbox One, don’t fret. There will be more opportunities to play the game, as it’s launching later this year. Today, we know exactly what content will be available when it does arrive.

The Xbox One version, which is due early this year, will come with the Tyranny of Dragons expansion. On the PC, this increased the number of playable classes to seven (Guardian Fighter, Great Weapon Fighter, Control Wizard, Trickster Rogue, Devoted Cleric, Hunter Ranger, and Scourge Warlock).

All of the content and balancing present in the PC version up to and including Tyranny of Dragons is included. The latest PC class addition, Oathbound Paladin, will be added to the Xbox One version after launch.

PC and Xbox One servers will be separate, but all of the free and premium races available on PC are coming to Xbox One at launch. Neverwinter is free-to-play, with monetization coming in the form companions, mounts, and various boosts. For more, check out our impressions of the PC version.

Our Take
The PlayStation 4 has had a solid free-to-play lineup that’s getting bigger soon with Planetside 2. It’s good to see Microsoft getting a solid title for Xbox One. I’m eager to try Neverwinter out, as I’m always up for a good co-op experience.
