Returning Battlefield Players Get A Bonus When Hardline Launches

by Mike Futter on Feb 18, 2015 at 07:17 AM

EA and Visceral have announced a loyalty program for Battlefield fans. Those that are planning on playing Hardline will get a boost pack if they’ve played at least one of three previous games in the franchise.

If you’ve played Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, or Battlefield 4 and logged in with an Origin account, you’ll be getting a bundle of items. The Veteran’s Pack includes an in-game patch, a 200 percent objective boost (30 minutes once activated), and a 200 percent teamplay boost (30 minutes once activated).

If you haven’t played those games, but decide to do so after Hardline, you’ll still get the pack. After trying out one of those three games, the next time you return to Hardline, the pack will be waiting.

Our Take
This is a nice nod to players that have stuck with Battlefield (especially if they’re coming to Hardline after playing Battlefield 4). The beauty is that it seems you only have to have logged into Origin with one of those games, so if you don’t have one anymore, you should still get the goods.
