Teens Replicate The Wizard, Play Rad Racer With Nintendo Power Glove

The React channel has become an undeniable sensation and its well-produced brand of lighthearted humor based on the “reaction video” premise earns most of the channel’s videos millions of views. One of its more popular features is the Teens React to Retro Games segment, which puts old games in the hands of teenagers who were, in most cases, not even alive in the year the game released.

This week’s video puts teens in the role of Lucas Barton, the big-shot gamer with a Nintendo Power Glove from The Wizard. The movie was widely criticized as being little more than a feature-length ad for Nintendo products when it released in 1989. In it, Barton flawlessly plays Rad Racer using only the motion control aspects of Nintendo's infamously terrible controller.

Surprisingly, the result of React’s video isn’t the same universal hatred the Power Glove normally inspires.

Originally part of TheFineBros channel, React has previously put games like Mario Kart 64 and Mega Man in the hands of teens, including Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams
