République Arrives Remastered, Piecemeal On PC Starting February 26

by Mike Futter on Feb 05, 2015 at 08:24 AM

Camouflaj, the studio founded by Metal Gear Solid IV producer Ryan Payton, is bringing its episodic mobile game République to new platforms. The studio has announced PC and Mac versions slated for arrival before the end of this month.

République puts main character Hope under your care, whom you guide via surveillance camera. Your watchful eye also allows you to manipulate the situation to clear a path for Hope to proceed.

The title will be available in both standard and deluxe editions. The former includes the three available episodes and access to the remaining two once released. The deluxe version also includes the game soundtrack, an hour-long documentary, and two desktop version exclusive prototypes.

For more on République, you can read our reviews of episode 1, episode 2, and episode 3

Our Take
Bringing a mobile game to PC isn’t unheard of, but it’s strange that this one is coming over incomplete. The inclusion of a deluxe edition (again, for a game that is being ported before it’s finished) is a little odd.
