Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight For NES Now Available On Wii U Virtual Console

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 17, 2015 at 04:39 AM

Originally released in 1990, Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight has little to do with Street Fighter or Final Fight, but it's available now on Wii U.

Here's the plot summary from the listing for the game on Nintendo's website:

It has been 25 years since Ken left the glory days of his fighting career. Since then, he has been working with his friend Troy to create "Cyboplasm"–an innovative formula that can turn ordinary humans into superbeings of incredible strength. But one day, Ken arrives at their lab to find the formula stolen and a pile of jelly where he should have found Troy...

The Japanese version of the game apparently stars a protagonist named Kevin. The English localization is what added the tangential relationship to the Street Fighter fighting franchise.

You can grab the game right now on the Wii U Virtual Console for $4.99 and released for 3DS Virtual Console late last year.

Our Take
I am completely unfamiliar with this game, but I'm curious now. Seems like a really good Replay candidate. What do you think?
