Steam Free Weekend Double Header Features Civilization: Beyond Earth And Saints Row IV
Steam is serving up two big AAA this weekend for free. Whether you want to protect the world from alien invaders or choose to be an interloper yourself, there’s something for you.
First up is Deep Silver and Volition’s Saints Row IV. We’re only a week and a half away from the standalone expansion, Gat out of Hell, so it’s a perfect time to punch an alien in what we assume are his unmentionables. Through Monday at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern, the game is only $4.99 (with the entire franchise marked down to $10.99 in bundle form).
Perhaps though, you want to consider the future of the human race in a more methodical fashion. Firaxis’ Civilization: Beyond Earth is also available for free play. It’s marked down 40 percent to $29.99.
Both games can be played for free through Sunday, January 18, at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern. The sale prices extend through Monday, January 19 at the same time.
