PSA: Sony Acknowledges Some PSN Users Experiencing Connection Problems

If you woke up this morning hoping to get some game time in before school or work, you may have run into a problem. PlayStation Network is currently experiencing problems affecting some users.

Sony acknowledged the issue at approximately 1:30 Eastern this morning via Twitter. “We're aware that some players are seeing drops on PSN,” the company says. Engineers are on the case and investigating.” Sony's PlayStation support page indicates that the service is experiencing "heavy network traffic."

As recently as the time of publication, Sony’s AskPlayStation Twitter account is responding to users that the problems are ongoing. We’ll update as we know more.
