Assassin's Creed Movie Gets New Release Date
The Assassin's Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender has been given a new release date by 20th Century Fox.
The film is now slated to hit theaters on December 21, 2016 – a week after the planned date for the first Star Wars spin-off movie. The Assassin's Creed movie was originally penciled in for a spring 2015 release, and then it was expected for summer 2015.
Justin Kurzel, who is also directing Fassbender in this year's Macbeth, is behind the camera for Assassin's Creed.

Our Take
The holidays are a great time to release blockbusters, but even a week removed from Star Wars, I wonder if it's a form of release-date suicide.
