8-Bit Time Machine Album Reimagines Modern Game Tunes

by Matt Miller on Dec 22, 2014 at 11:15 AM

IndieGoGo is playing host to a new music project called The 8-Bit Time Machine, and there’s still a few days left to contribute if you’d like to participate in the funding drive. Giovanni Rotundo is hosting the drive for the new album, which promises a selection of modern video game music, transitioned into original 8-bit style. As of this writing, the project has already been successfully funded, but if you’re interested in snagging a copy of the album, the campaign claims to have a lower price during funding than it will when it actually releases in the wild.

Musical tracks include pieces from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Angry Birds, Portal, Battlefield 1942, Braid, Destiny, Super Mario Galaxy, and Watch Dogs, plus two original tracks.

Are you looking for some throwback tunes? Check out the IndieGoGo campaign to hear some samples.
