Harebrained Schemes Is Taking Another Shadowrun At Kickstarter Funding

by Mike Futter on Dec 16, 2014 at 09:39 AM

In an update sent to Shadowrun Returns backers, developer Harebrained Schemes has teased more coming in the cyberpunk universe. The success of the first title is luring the company back to the crowdfunding scene.

The update to backers is very brief, “Shadowrun returns to Kickstarter January 2015,” it says. Included in the update is an image that reinforces the message (above).

This will be Harebrained Schemes third turn on Kickstarter. The second is the digital/tabletop hybrid, Golem Arcana. You can read more about that in our interview with company founder Jordan Weisman from PAX.

Our Take
I’m a fan of both Shadowrun Returns and Golem Arcana. Harebrained Schemes has delivered on its promises to backers in a timely fashion, which is not something every successfully funded venture can claim.
