Total War: Arena Returns With New Alpha

by Matthew Kato on Dec 15, 2014 at 04:00 AM

Sega-owned developer Creative Assembly first unveiled Total War: Arena back in 2013, and the game even went into beta at one point that year, but it wasn't officially released.

The game is a 10 v 10 free-to-play multiplayer strategy game, with each player controlling three units of soldiers led by an iconic warrior from history such as Alexander the Great.

Our Take
It seems strange that the game was pulled back from its beta after being announced, but kudos to Creative Assembly for not rushing the game out and instead garnering more feedback through its development stages.
