Destiny Hotfix Bumps Difficulty, Better Gear Coming To Tower Vendors
Bungie has made some changes to the Destiny experience that pave the way for tomorrow’s release of the first expansion. Things are about to get a bit tougher in the solar system.
When The Dark Below arrives tomorrow, difficulty will be bumped on timed events. That means your daily heroic story missions, weekly heroic strikes, and weekly nightfall strike runs will require better gear. Thankfully, Bungie wants to help players a bit.

Our Take
The addition of better gear to the stores will probably help players, but I suspect your best bet will continue to be to acquire raid gear from the Vault of Glass, level it, run that content on hard mode, and then hit up the new raid. We’ll have more details about the minor changes in The Dark Below tomorrow.
