Strikes At The Ports Of Los Angeles And Long Beach Cause Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Limited Edition Delay

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 02, 2014 at 01:30 PM

The release of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is on track, but unforeseen strikes have delayed the release of the game's limited edition.

Aksys games shared details about the delay on its website:

We regret to inform our fans that the Limited Edition will be delayed due to the unforeseen strikes at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, which have held up key components.  Due to the unpredictable nature of the delay, there may be a one to two week postponement of the release of the Limited Edition. Aksys Games takes this matter seriously and will continue to update everyone as soon as we can. We would like to apologize for the delay and inconvenience that this has caused.

The limited edition of the game includes character art book, a keychain, a soundtrack, all packaged in a special box. You can check out an image of the limited edition below.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-'s standard edition is still planned for release on December 16. For more on the game head here and the latest trailer, head here. A demo for the game is currently available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Our Take
The unfortunate thing about this delay is the people who are most excited about the game – the ones who pre-ordered the limited edition – are the ones who will now be forced to wait for the game. I appreciate Aksys being totally honest about what is causing the delay, though.
