Reader Discussion: How Do You Want New-Gen Consoles To Improve In 2015?

by Mike Futter on Dec 01, 2014 at 03:45 AM

It’s been one year since the releases of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In that time, both platform holders have added features and improved the consoles.

New-gen hardware has come a long way since November 2013, with new video apps, cosmetic features, streaming improvements, and more. The libraries continue to grow, with more console- and generation-exclusives starting to emerge.

There’s still much more to be done on both systems, though. The Xbox One’s dashboard was built with Kinect in mind and needs an overhaul now that Kinect isn't mandatory. The PlayStation 4 doesn't yet include promised gameplay suspend/resume when putting the hardware in “rest mode.” These are still systems in progress.

We’re sure there are other capabilities you’d like to see added in 2015. Let us know how you think platform holders should prioritize their system-level improvements.
