Reader Discussion: What Was The Last Midnight Launch You Attended?

by Mike Futter on Nov 10, 2014 at 02:47 PM

Before the era of PAX and other fan conventions, midnight game launches were a prime source of comraderie amongst gamers. The phenomenon hasn't stopped, but with the advent of digital gaming and pre-loading, things have certainly changed.

With Halo and Assassin's Creed launch tonight at midnight, we're wondering if you're planning to head out to your retailer of choice. Have you opted instead to pre-buy and pre-load any of the biggest titles?

What was the last midnight launch you attended and was it your first? Your second? Your twentieth? If you don't attend anymore, we'd love to hear about any positive memories from those you participated in (even if the best part was playing until the sun came up).

If you're headed out to a midnight opening tonight (or any time this fall), be safe. And, of course, be sure to have fun.
