ESRB Listing For Resident Evil Revelations 2 Reveals Possible Playable-Character Spoiler

by Matthew Kato on Nov 10, 2014 at 04:43 AM

Ratings board the ESRB informs people of games' content so they can judge whether it's appropriate to play. However, sometimes this information verges into spoiler territory. In this case it's for Resident Evil Revelations 2. Guess what? Possible spoilers ahead!

The ESRB listing for the game says, "This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of an imprisoned woman and a father searching for his daughter on an island."

As Revelations 2 features Claire and Moira, it's possible that the father-daughter combo mentioned is Moira and fan-favorite Barry Burton. This might also be something that the game's producer Michiteru Okabe mentioned to us at TGS.

Another "spoiler" – the game contains potty language and gore.

For more on the characters in the game, take a look at this character primer, and be sure to check out the stories from our cover story hub below.

Our Take:
Although we won't know until we get our hands on the game, this admission by the ESRB is tantalizing. Resident Evil fans: Given the cult status of Barry up to this point, would playing him be any sort of a letdown?
