by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 09, 2014 at 08:22 AM

Film maker and comedian Andie Bolt is working on a documentary about her mother's bout with cancer and how she uses World of Warcraft as a coping mechanism, and she has started a Kickstarter to complete the documentary as well expand the story to include others who use Blizzard's popular MMO to cope.

Bolt is looking for $45,000 to help her complete the film, and has already raised $12,683. You can find the project's Kickstarter page by heading here. In the video asking for supporters, Bolt details the tribulations her mother has been going through, as well the difficulties of other, and Chris Hardwick also appears to offer his support for the film.

The film touches on a topic that shines video games under a positive light, and could also offer some real medical evidence for video games being good for the brain.
