Grand Theft Auto V's Rumored First-Person Mode Is Real
In September, Rockstar posted a support article detailing the changes in the new-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V. Among the items listed were on-foot and in-vehicle first-person modes. Rockstar hastily deleted the support page, but now the feature is confirmed.
Speaking with IGN, Rockstar confirms that the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC versions will feature the first-person mode. This required Rockstar to rebuild the animations and how the player interacts on the ground and in vehicles.
When on a motorbike or in a helicopter, player view and audio will be restricted by virtual helmets. On the ground, Rockstar has created different animations for each of the three protagonists.
The wait to see this for yourselves isn’t long. Grand Theft Auto V will be out for Xbox One and PS4 on November 18. The PC versions hits on January 27.

Our Take
I’m curious to check this out for myself. After skipping GTA V last year, I think I’m finally ready to give it a go, especially if I can play it in first-person. It’s finally time for me to see what you’ve all been so excited about.
