Voice Actor James Arnold Taylor Performs 95 Voices In Under 6 Minutes

by Mike Futter on Nov 03, 2014 at 01:50 PM

You might not know who James Arnold Taylor is, but there’s a good chance you’ve heard his voice before. He’s been featured in a number of video games, including the titular Lombax in Ratchet & Clank.

Taylor’s IMDB listing is a litany of familiar roles, including Tidus in Final Fantasy X, Young Emmet Brown in Telltale’s Back to the Future series, and Obi-Wan Kenobi in a number of Star Wars games. If you’ve watched recent Star Wars cartoons, including The Clone Wars and Rebels, you’ve heard him as Obi-Wan there, also.

In the six-minute clip above, you’ll hear Taylor explain how he moves from one voice to the other in rapid succession. And now I just want to see an impression-off between voice actors to see who can get the closest to celebrities.

Taylor will be reprising his role as Ratchet in the upcoming animated film. He’s also recently appeared in Skylanders: Trap Team as the trapable villain Threatpack.

Note: The headline for this story originally included an incorrect number of voices featured in the clip. We've corrected this and apologize for the error.
