Sony Announces Lineup For Its Community Event

by Joe Juba on Oct 30, 2014 at 01:07 PM

Even though the PS Experience event was announced earlier this month, Sony didn't reveal much of what would be on offer. That changed today when the company released a list of games and developers that will be present for the upcoming event on December 6 and 7.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony unveiled the companies it will be collaborating with for the Las Vegas event, including Naughty Dog, Ubisoft, EA, Media Molecule, From Software, and Ready at Dawn. Even more impressive is the list of playable titles:

  • Battlefield: Hardline
  • Big Fest
  • Bloodborne
  • DC Universe Online — War of the Light Part II and Legends PvE Co-Op Missions
  • Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse
  • Dying Light
  • Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series
  • Grim Fandango
  • Helldivers
  • Journey (PS4)
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • PlanetSide 2
  • Tales from the Borderlands
  • Tearaway Unfolded
  • The Order: 1886
  • The Tomorrow Children
  • The Witness
  • The Unfinished Swan (PS4)
  • Until Dawn

Additionally, Sony has plans to show Project Morpheus and No Man's Sky at the event. The PS Experience website will have more updates as the event draws nearer.

Our Take
I can't argue with that list of titles. On top of already anticipated games like Bloodborne and Mortal Kombat X, I'm also excited to get a good look at the Game of Thrones series from Telltale. The big question for fans is whether it's worth $50 for a single-day ticket in order to see these titles early, especially since that's money that could be put towards buying a finished version of these games in the coming months.
