Nintendo is making a smart play here. I have no doubt this will make sitting the fence far more comfortable for those players that have a hard time deciding which way to go. With the addition of the ability to easy transfer Pokémon back and forth without the need for a second 3DS, this is a more viable solution than it was when Ruby and Sapphire were first released.
