PSA: Xbox Live Is Free This Weekend On Xbox 360

by Kimberley Wallace on Oct 10, 2014 at 01:15 PM

Starting today through Sunday, Xbox 360 users can get Xbox Live free and see the perks of a gold membership.

Forget to re-up your subscription? Been wanting to test out a game's online features, but don't want to pay for a subscription just yet? You are in luck. Microsoft is running a promo where you can enjoy Xbox Live for free. How do you redeem your free weekend? Nothing is required. All you need to do is just log in with an internet connection, pop in the game of your choice, and you're set to take it online. You can also test out some of the free-to-play games, such as World of Tanks and Warface.

Sadly, this promo is only for Xbox 360 users and does not include Xbox One.

Our Take
It's hard to complain about getting anything for free, but I really wish they'd extend this to Xbox One users as well. It would be a great way for Xbox One fans to see everything they're missing out on
(especially since the Xbox One has more features for a gold membership) by not having the service. Seriously, if you're playing Destiny solo, you're really missing out. Take that game online, STAT!
