Bungie Talks Destiny Raid Matchmaking

by Matt Miller on Oct 03, 2014 at 01:28 PM

Bungie has a well-earned reputation for regular communications with its fanbase, and that tradition has continued in the early weeks of Destiny’s release. This week, Bungie’s Weekly Update offers some self-deprecating humor from the team, as they highlight many of the memes that have emerged about the seemingly sadistic Cryptarch. More importantly, Bungie goes on to discuss fan desire for raid matchmaking.

“We’re having conversations about how Matchmaking might support the more challenging activites in Destiny,” reads the post from community manager David “DeeJ” Dague. More specifically, the comment extends to the challenge presented by trying to implement raid matchmaking. Given that the raid is built to be played by experienced players who work well together, Bungie believes a matchmaking solution would be difficult. However, it sounds as if they’re open to fan opinion on the subject, so share your opinions on the Bungie forums

If you’re in for the full update, don’t miss scrolling to the end, where a careful read may reveal exactly which Guardian class DeeJ appears to favor.
