Rocksmith 2014 Getting Remastered For PlayStation 4 And Xbox One

by Kyle Hilliard on Sep 24, 2014 at 03:51 PM

Ubisoft's last-gen realistic guitar simulator is getting the update treatment for the current generation of consoles.

Some of the enhancements for this new version of the game include updated visuals, the ability to record and share performances, and Vita compatibility with the PlayStation 4 version of the game allowing players to review difficult songs without having to actually play the game.

The game will ship with 50 songs, and DLC purchased can be transferred over to the new remastered version within the platform (PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One).

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Rocksmith 2014 lands November 4.

Our Take
It's impressive how Rocksmith continues to toe the line for the thought-dead guitar genre. I'm glad there is still an audience for video games played with an instrument, even though I don't really count myself among them.
