Minecraft Gets Bigger On Xbox One This Week At Budget Price For 360 Owners

by Mike Futter on Sep 03, 2014 at 03:10 AM

Microsoft has announced that you’ll be able to dig in a bigger sandbox this Friday, September 5. Mojang’s Minecraft will make the leap to Xbox One later this week.

For those that own the game on Xbox 360, you’ll be able to upgrade the Xbox One version for $4.99. If you’re jumping in the for the first time, the title will cost you $19.99.

Any downloadable content you’ve already bought can be moved over to the Xbox One, including mash-up packs and skins. The Xbox One version supports four players locally and eight players online.

Our Take
Minecraft continues to bring in huge sales on console, and I have no doubt that 360 players who have the Xbox One will be making the jump in droves.
