Reader Discussion: What Assassin’s Creed Setting Should Be Next?

by Matt Miller on Aug 11, 2014 at 11:44 AM

For fans, one of the most exciting aspects of the Assassin’s Creed franchise is getting to dig into a new historical period and distinct location with each new game. Whether it's the Italian Renaissance or the golden age of piracy in the Caribbean, each game gives us new insights into the AC fiction and a (slightly skewed) history lesson.

The two new games in the franchise are no different. Unity is headed to  French Revolution-era Paris, while Rogue promises a look at the Seven Years War, also called the French and Indian War.

What location and time period do you think Ubisoft explore next? Would you want to visit the ancient civilization of the Mayans? Or take a trip to historical China? Maybe the days of the pharaohs of Egypt strikes your fancy? London in the 19th century could be pretty exciting. Or perhaps you'd finally like to see an Assassin's Creed game set entirely in the present or even the future?
