The lights are on
Nintendo's Masahiro Sakurai has announced Nintendo's plans to make hard-to-earn trophies in Super Smash Bros. 3DS available for purchase with Nintendo Play Coins.
In a post on Miiverse, Sakurai, showed off a trophy from the game – which he says will have more trophies than SSB Brawl. He then detailed the company's plans to allow gamers to purchase trophies that they are having trouble earning through play:
"Here's something new--the trophy shop. If you're having a hard time getting certain trophies, why not just buy them? They sometimes go on sale, too."
In the image below, you can see the trophy storefront in the game. We don't know if the listed prices are final. The prices are listed in Play Coins, which are earned by walking with your 3DS.

Our Take:I wonder how this will be received by the community? For me, it feels a bit odd to sell off trophies with coins – isn't the whole point of in-game trophies and achievements to demonstrate your mastery of a game? Maybe I'm old fashioned.
