Reader Discussion: What Is Your Favorite Metroid Game?
Twenty-eight years ago today Nintendo released the original Metroid for the original NES. Throughout her 28-years exploring the galaxy, Samus has had a lot of great adventures; what's your favorite.
The other day, I wrote an article on some of the best non-Metroid, Metroid games, and I did that because I have a great love for Nintendo's classic sci-fi series. A lot of people hold up the original Metroid as one of the best games in the series because it started it all. For me, I put my money on Super Metroid, because I think that it polished the formula to perfection. On the other hand, Metroid Prime did a lot for the series by taking it to 3D, and doing first-person extremely well, and I could see someone making a solid argument for that game being the best Metroid game of all time. What do you think? What's your favorite Metroid game?
