The lights are on
In a video from YouTube channel Filthy Frackers, a collection of popular '90s grunge rock songs are re-imagined in 8-bit form and placed alongside crudely animated (but admittedly charming) montages featuring the music videos of the songs.
In the video you will find hits from Nirvana, Pearl jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots and more. This isn't the first 8-bit '90s re-imagining from the channel, but it the first to feature a collection of songs of the era.

Love it flashback city!!
Hah I made out Man in the Box and Jermy. Was... that talking heads? or Primer?
Nice for Grungers and Gamers to unite under one post! :)
Alice In Chains :)
I love those bands but I hate chiptune music... Hmm... Ambivalence strikes again. I guess that's kind of appropriate though.
The chiptune version of Revolve was pretty alright, Melvs are nice and low-endy so it sounds a lot more tolerable, I could see myself playing some old 16-bit game to that tune. Chiptune Man in the Box sounded awful though, chiptune music can't handle lots of top-end and high mids and that pretty much describes Layne Staley's voice in a Nutshell, so to speak.
I went into this thinking it was all going to be bands I didn't care for, but hey, the Melvins are in here!
