PlayStation Now Enters Open Beta Tomorrow, Lowering Some Prices Soon
PlayStation Now, the service that will allow PlayStation players to stream and play classic PlayStation games through their PlayStation 4, enters open beta tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow, PlayStation 4 players will see Now integration into the PlayStation Network store. You can check out a walkthrough video of the upcoming service in the video below.
Along with the announcement of the open beta, Sony also says that in a few weeks we can expect to see the prices of some 4-hour rentals drop to $1.99. Currently, in the closed beta (and presumably at the open beta's launch tomorrow) the price of a four hour rental ranges from $3 to $5. You can read more about Now's pricing by heading here.

Our Take
The pricing for the four hour rental still seems high. Sony reiterated the dropping price in the comments section of the blog post saying, "Good news, we will soon have titles come to Open Beta starting as low as $1.99 for a 4 hour rental." It sounds like this lowered price will be limited to select titles as opposed to across the board – which is disappointing. Despite that, I am interested to try out the service and see how it works and what games are available.
