Watch QuakeCon's Designing The Perfect Game Panel

by Ben Reeves on Jul 28, 2014 at 09:15 AM

Everyone has had a great idea for making a game, but developing that idea into a real product is harder than it looks. During a panel at this year's QuakeCon, our very own Andrew Reiner challenged a number of celebrity gamers to develop the perfect game.

Game Informer executive editor Andrew Reiner moderates this panel featuring guests Chris Kluwe (former NFL punter), Rick Malambri (actor, Step Up 3D), and Matt Grandstaff (Global Community Lead at Bethesda) as they each work to design a perfect game. Bethesda vice president Pete Hines judges each title and helps workshop the ideas.

Our Take
I'm a big fan of panels like this, so it's great that those of us who didn't make it to QuakeCon this year can check it out. It's also interesting to watch an industry vetern such as Hines put each idea through the ringer to help chip off some of the conceptual rough spots.
