See How Long It Takes To Drive Across The Country In The Crew

by Jeff Marchiafava on Jul 25, 2014 at 01:57 PM

A beta participant of Ubisoft's upcoming racer, The Crew, has posted a video showing how long it takes to drive from Miami to Los Angeles.

YouTube user Birds AT posted footage from the beta that's currently underway, which shows him plotting out the course and then taking the long trek across Ivory Tower's abbreviated version of the United States. Not counting a few spinouts along the way, the trip takes a total of 40 minutes, and isn't even the longest continuous stretch possible. You can watch the road trip in real-time in the video below, if you've got an hour to spare.

The Crew is set to launch on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more on the game, check out our hands-on impressions from E3.

Our Take
It certainly looks like Ivory Tower is prepping a massive open world for its racing MMO, even if the developer omitted Minneapolis, which is an unpardonable sin, in my opinion. I'm not a huge racing fan, but I'll be interested to see how the game's multiplayer component stacks up, and if Ivory Tower can really make a racer MMO a compelling proposition for gamers.
