Warcraft Movie Gets Logo And Enormous Props

by Mike Futter on Jul 24, 2014 at 06:34 AM

Legendary is at San Diego Comic Con and has brought some new goodies from the upcoming Warcraft movie. Not only do we get a look at the film's logo, but also some of it's huge props.

Blizzard community manager, Micah “Bashiok” Whipple, took some pictures of two of the props from the film. The shield is a replica of the one appearing in the Alliance Crest, and has a companion sword by its side.

The Duncan Jones-helmed movie completed filming in May. It’s scheduled for release on March 11, 2016.

World of Warcraft’s next expansion, Warlords of Draenor, is currently in closed beta testing. Release is targeted for this year.

Our Take
I want to have faith in this game-to-movie adaptation, but history has been harsh to the genre. Maybe Duncan Jones can elevate the concept. If not, at least the props are impressive.
