Reader Discussion – Which Of Your Favorite Comic Books Should Get The Video Game Treatment?

by Andrew Reiner on Jul 24, 2014 at 11:14 AM

Many moons ago, Game Informer's Meagan Marie (who now works at Riot Games) listed five comic book series that she would like to see transformed into video games. Last year, Game Informer's Matt Miller selected two comic book properties in his "Five Franchises Telltale Games Should Do Next" article. With San Diego Comic Con in full swing, we'd like to hear from you next. Which comic book series is deserving of a video game? On top of that, what type of game should it be, and which developer should bring it to life?

Thanks to Telltale Games' latest efforts with The Walking Dead and Fables franchises, we're getting comic book experiences that don't just focus on action, action, action. The door is wide open for slow, narrative-based comic books to make a splash in the game space. I would love to see Telltale take on Garth Ennis' Preacher or Jeph Loeb's The Long Halloween. I would also love to see Animal Man come to life in an open world game. Harnessing the abilities of different animals would make world traversal a blast. Let us know which of your favorite books should make the jump to digital.
