by Dimitri Gedevanishvili on Jul 21, 2014 at 04:43 AM

Update: EA Sports has added U.S. Men's National Team captain and Seattle Sounders player Clint Dempsey to the cover of the game in North America – his first appearance for the series.

Furthermore, as a nod to the Sounders sponsor, Xbox, Dempsey will appear in his Sounders kit on the covers of the Xbox One and Xbox 360 covers. For the PlayStation 4 and 3 versions he will appear in his USMNT away "Bomb Pop" uni.

Original Story: Once again, world-famous soccer player Lionel Messi will be seen on the box art of a FIFA title. Previously on FIFA Street, 13, and 14, this marks Messi's fourth consecutive run on the cover.

During the World Cup, Messi scored an impressive four goals for Argentina and received the Golden Ball award for best player in the tournament. Check out the cover starring the player below.

FIFA 15 has been announced for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita, PC, 3DS, and Wii and releases on September 23. Be sure to read our previous coverage on the title to see the game in action as well as learn about new features and changes coming this time around.

Note: Not all features have been announced for all versions of the game. The stories linked above apply to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

Our Take
I'm a pretty big soccer fan and appreciate Messi as a player a lot. While he is most certainly deserving of gracing another cover for the series, I feel as though giving other excellent soccer players the spotlight wouldn't hurt either.
