Geralt Slays Beautifully Detailed Beasts In Art Of The Witcher Video

by Wayne Stainrook on Jul 21, 2014 at 09:43 AM

Though The Witcher games might have risen to popularity with the series' second entry, the original game laid the foundation for Geralt of Rivia and his adventures. With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming in February, there's no better time to look back and appreciate the original's artistry.

In his latest in his "The Art Of" video series, Olivier Leclair takes us through the villages and marshes of The Witcher and presents us with concept art for some of the game's monsters, like the armored hound, golem, and the cursed striga. Also of note is a drawing of Geralt with more pronounced, sharper features than the one fans have come to know, with spikier hair and a zigzag scar over his left eye, as opposed to his smoother one.

For more, check out our preview of The Witcher 3 at E3 and watch last week's Art of video on Bioshock.
