Breaking Down The Dota 2 The International 4 Prize Pool

While you may know the winner of the tournament, if you haven't been following closely, take a look at who else came out victorious.

With a prize pool of over $10.9 million, this marks the most lucrative eSports venture to date. Team Newbee walked out the victors today, taking home a shade over $5 million. Here are the other top sixteen finishers.

2nd place: ViCi gaming $1,475,699

3rd place: Evil Geniuses $1,038,455

4th place: DK $819,833

5th/6th place: Cloud 9, LGD Gaming $655,866 each

7th/8th place: Invictus Gaming, Natus Vincere $519,227 each

9th/10th place: Titan, Team Liquid $49,190 each

11th/12th place: mousesports, Alliance $38,259 each

13th/14th place: Team Empire, Fnatic $21,862 each

15th/16th place: Na'Vi North America, Arrow Gaming No cash prize

Our Take
I didn't follow this year's International as closely as I would have liked to, but I'm still amazed at the scope of it all; the prize pool was just so immense. It also took place in my home city of Seattle which leads me to wonder how this tournament was perceived by the Seattleite public, if at all.
