The lights are on
Harmonix has issued a survey in order to gauge interest for the future of the Rock Band franchise.
You can check out and respond to the five-question survey here, which asks with what frequency players still play Rock Band, whether they would like to see a new Rock Band on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U, and whether they still have their Rock Band instruments.
Harmonix is currently working on Fantasia: Music Evolved, Chroma, Amplitude, and Dance Central Spotlight, so if a new Rock Band were to arrive, Harmonix would have to get a few other projects out of the way first.

Our TakeI really enjoy music and rhythm games, and played Guitar Hero and Rock Band excessively at the height of their popularity, but I don't know if I would be excited for a new entry in the series. I just think my excitement for mimicking popular music with fake instruments has expired. Amplitude, on the other hand, which offers a more abstract execution of the rhythm and music game, is something I am much more excited about.
