Xbox One Sales "More Than Double" In June

by Bryan Vore on Jul 16, 2014 at 01:32 PM

Microsoft brings positive, yet vague, news of its Xbox One console sales. The company claims the sales in June more than doubled sales from May.

Major credit goes to the new Kinect-less Xbox One offering for $399 that launched on June 9th. Microsoft cites "internal data based on retain calendar and sold through numbers", but doesn't actually offer these numbers.

Our Take:
It's great to see Microsoft's decision to take out Kinect from Xbox One and chop off $100 paying off in sales. Yet it's always suspicious when hard numbers aren't provided. What is there to hide aside from potentially low figures?
