Fire Emblem: Awakening's Lucina And Robin Confirmed For Smash Bros.

by Mike Futter on Jul 14, 2014 at 04:30 AM

Update: This morning's reveal was a double dose of new fighter action, with Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening confirmed for the roster. And those of you who prefer the female version of Robin can rest easy. She's included, too.

The action-packed three-minute trailer included the return of Captain Falcon (putting many Smash fans' minds at ease). It also seems like Chrom is in, though it's not quite clear if that's just part of Lucina's final smash or part of the roster yet.

Robin carries his (or her) sword, but also has a spell tome with limited uses. Lucina looks to be an all out brawler with her blade.

Original Story:

In just under an hour, Nintendo will be revealing a brand new fighter for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games on Wii U and 3DS. You can watch the excitement right here.

Tune in at 7 a.m. Pacific / 10 a.m. Eastern to see who will be joining the fight. This morning, series director Masahiro Sakurai unveiled a Rayman collectible trophy. Will the limbless wonder be the new addition, or was that just a feint? The video is only three minutes long, so be sure to get here early.
