Heavenly Sword Movie Release Date Announced
Remember the PlayStation 3 exclusive Heavenly Sword from 2007? If so, did you remember that Cinedigm is making a CG animated film based on the game? If you answered "yes" to both questions then you're in luck. The movie is headed to Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on September 2.
The story follows Nariko (Anna Torv) as she takes the titular sword to battle agains the evil King Bohan (Alfred Molina) and his army. Thomas Jane will play a character named Loki.

Our Take
As much as I enjoyed the game when it came out, it seems a strange call to choose Heavenly Sword to make into a movie out of all the Sony properties. Still, it's nice to see the franchise return in some form, especially if we're not going to see another game.
